Fiscal Sponsorship Application

First you must be incorporated as a non-profit. You must also have a mission that is line with ours. Finally you must agree to the terms of the partnership. Those terms will be clearly outlined in a written agreement to make the sponsorship formal, which must be signed by both parties.

Comprehensive Fiscal Sponsorship

In a comprehensive fiscal sponsorship relationship, your project becomes a program of A God Send *AGS), (a distinct difference from the pre-approved grant relationship) and is a fully integrated part of A God Send. AGS maintains all legal and fiduciary responsibility for the sponsored project, its employees, and activities. Any work product is available to the public or to the charitable sector. AGS assures those who will be funding your project that the purposes and any restrictions of all grants and/or contributions will be met.

Pre-approved grant relationship

In a pre-approved grant relationship, your project does not become a program belonging to A God Send (as is the case with comprehensive sponsorship). It remains a separate entity responsible for managing its own tax reporting and liability issues. In addition, A God Send (AGS) does not necessarily maintain ownership of any part of the results of your project’s work. Ownership rights will be addressed in the fiscal sponsor agreement and could potentially result in some type of joint ownership. AGS simply assures itself that the project will use the grant funds received to accomplish the ends described in the grant proposal.

The Fiduciary (Fiscal) Contract

A God send will execute a written understanding (fiscal contract) detailing the terms and expectations of the relationship, including the financial terms and administrative overhead charges established for providing fiscal sponsorship services. The understanding provides that A God Send retains full legal discretion and control over the funding and funding uses for the project, and also obligates project leaders to adhere to A God Send sponsorship policies and procedures. A Contract is provided if you are approved.
